The Cleaning Lady is Wonderful

Today is the first day I have had a cleaning lady (sally), we lover her, my daughter follows her around and thinks she is wonderful. She changed all the sheets on the beds, cleaned all the bathrooms, vacuumed, dusted, scrubbed, I will keep her always. She came for 3 hours and I can't imagine my life without her. The next time she visits us we will tackle the kitchen and she said something about getting me organized.....I can already tell we are going to work great together.

Coldpalooza

We are all sick, it started Saturday night with sore throats. Coolidge (that is what the presidents name my husband picked out for this blog.....he didn't want me using his real name.) Coolidge is feeling better and was able to go to work today, I am the one with a low fever and taking care of the kiddos he seems to be doing better than me. Our really good friends are coming in from Alaska on Wednesday and the goal is to be all better by then. They have a daughter named Madison, which goes with our theme of kids named after presidents. I will have to do a whole other post about that one, because we have a lot of friends with kids named after presidents.

All better

Lincoln is all better, just a day or so with diarrhea.
We need to get a different garbage can, one that has lid that doesn't open so easily. He is now on antibiotics for a bad cough which has seemed to turn his poop orange.

Our daughter is mostly potty trained, expect for the pooping part. She will most always poop at bed time or nap time. We have tried taking the diapers away, which doesn't work. She will come out of her room 20 times a night saying she has to go potty or poopy, and she will go potty but never poopy and she will still wet her bed at some point.
So we have tried rewards an that seems to work about 1/4 of the time.
So now we just wait.

The weaning is going much better, I almost feel that I could wean him now and he would be fine, but I'm going to kept to our plan.

Salmonella

Lincoln has salmonella, I made chicken yesterday and when I wasn't looking he stood up, opened the garbage lid and pulled out the chicken wrap and bit off a piece. I turned around and screamed, called poison control and striped him naked, washed out his mouth, and gave him a bath. He has had diarrhea all day and has been mostly cranky.
The lady at poison control said, at least your kid didn't eat cat poop out of the litter box.
Okay now I feel better.

Weaning 101

The kids are sick and my house is a mess. I hired a cleaning lady to come every other week, she starts next week, I can't wait!!!
I'm trying to wean my son from breast feeding, and this has been very hard. We are going on a weekend trip in February and he needs to be weaned by then.....we are not taking the kids. This will be the first time since he was born that we were able to get away by ourselves.......I'm so excited. Weaning has been hard because I just want to give it to him when ever he wants it. So far I am down to 3 times a day, then 2 times a day then he goes to Nana's house cold turkey. I know he will be fine because he loves food. Plus maybe I can start loosing weight.
Okay need to take a shower and get ready for the day and clean the house, my daughter is going to Nana's house so I can clean and run some errands.....yippee :)

Introducing

So I had to go to the dealership today to have a part fixed on our van. While we waited, there was this older woman about in her 70's. Whenever Reagan spoke a little loud, our Lincoln pulled a magazine off the coffee table she would sigh loudly and noticeably disagreed with how my children where behaving. Why do older people act this way, for goodness sake, they are 3 and almost 1 years old. They are not trouble making kids, they are just normal kids. Not all old people act this way either, I have had several grandparent type individuals be very nice and tell the kids funny jokes. I don't' get it. So we left and went for a walk to T.J Max....love that place.

The best part of today is that it is Friday.....which means I can sleep in and Daddy has kid duty Saturday morning!!

Ok, I'm going to try this

I have been a big blog reader for about a year and half when I was having trouble getting pregnant. I don't ovulate on my own so I searched out to the internet and found this whole other world of women all struggling to get pregnant. These women captured my heart and I truley care about these women. Some of them don't even know I exsist.

I have two kids and they are named after Presidents....hence the title "my presidents".
Our oldest is a Reagan and she is 3 1/2 years old and our youngest is Lincoln and he is 11 months old. They just went down for a nap, which gives me time to start my first blog entry.

I stay home with the kids full time and manage our home and the finances. Except for our retirement, I just manage the bills, savings account, and the day to day banking. I don't think I do a bad job, but I know I can do better.

I'm not sure what to write, or how much information I should give, so for right now I will just give basic and general info.
