We are adopting

A bulldog that is. We filled out an application with the Cascade Bulldog Rescue/Rehome Inc.
Currently they only have one bulldog that would work with our family and she is in Helena, Mt and it would take us 2 days to get there so for now we wait.

Tim has always wanted a bulldog, he grew up with having mostly cats and we both aren't cat people. I had 2 dogs growing up as a kid, and Tim's Dad had a wiener dog but it was really his step mom's and when they divorced she got Jake.

So here we are waiting, we looked into getting a puppy but it came down to money.
Bulldog puppies are very expensive, like over $2,000!!! Plus if we can help rescue a bulldog, its worth it.

That's cool... but what are the bulldogs being rescued from? I hope not fighting because that would not be a family dog. I have always wanted to do a greyhound adoption, but they require more attention than a bulldog.

That is awesome guys, rescuing is the best way!
Scott, Bulldogs were originally bred for fighting but they have basically been bred into a very lazy dog that doesn't have the breathing or flexibility to fight. I'm not a dog expert, I just watched a show on dog breeding and the bulldog was a prime example of how much they have changed over the years. The original Bulldogs were actually used for fighting Bulls and Bears.

By the way from the people we've met at the dog park adopted greyhounds are some of the meanest dogs we've come across.

Anyways I can't wait to see which dog you guys get!

Oh check out our youth groups blog.

They are very specific who can adopt and if they have kids or not, stairs or no stairs, fenced yard, someone home with the dog, crate or not. It might take awhile before we actually get one.
