We watched Santa arrive on the train yesterday at the carousel. We waited for a long time in line and then decided to go play at the park, go home eat lunch and come back when there was no line.

I love this picture. Can you help me pick a funny caption for it? The funniest one wins a $5 Starbucks gift card. The winner to be chosen by the ever so funny & sexy Tim. You have until Monday 7pm PST. Winner to be announced Tuesday, Dec 1st.

Brooke, Vanessa and Shana

Last night I had a very odd dream.

My friend Brooke had to move out of town to her husband's hometown for a while and rented a really cool house. They were only gone for 6 months but in my dream it was like they never even left. Then my other friend Vanessa had to move to the same town because of her husbands job for about a year. The company would pay their rent for a home during this time. Because it was my dream I was the tour guide slash Realtor because I was that person....duh. I told Vanessa about the house Brooke rented and all of a sudden I remembered how cool it was.

It was on an active horse farm, had two cottages for use(which I thought would be perfect for her sister and parents to stay in while they visited) in addition to the house and it had a sleeping porch. The house had a train room which their son would love and it had a little girls room for their daughter and a kitchen that was an entertainers dream....and it was furnished.

As I was giving Vanessa and her family the tour the farmer was there working with the horses. I guess he did horse husbandry which is where they help the horses reproduce. Anyway....there was a horse reproduction specialist who happen to be my friend Shana. The farmer asked me take a sample to Shana and to find out if it would be a good time for the horse to mate with one of the females. ----I have no idea what happened to Vanessa and her family, I assume they moved in but in my dream they were gone.---
Shana spat off some scientific and technical terms and then said that it meant they had "good tails" and had "strong heads" because that was the most important thing when looking for a great sample. Duh didn't you know that???...well in my dream it was the most important thing.

Then Tim and I decided that it would be fun to go off in the wilderness and try to survive like Bear Grylls and not tell anyone that we left. In my dream it sounded like the best idea ever. As we were packing our backpacks I woke up........ Tim was kissing me goodbye, telling me he loves me and I groggily said I love you too.

Story of my life.....conclusion!!

This is a picture of our pump from our washing machine. Can you see something in there? I can.

It is something small, that goes on small feet.

That's right, it was Miss Reagan's lost Tinker Bell sock. It cracked the pump and that is why water was everywhere. Unfortunately for me, tinker bell socks are NOT covered under warranty. So, we are $120 something poorer but it was well worth it.

I watched him closely and now I'm pretty sure that I can fix a water pump on a washing machine. Heck, if I can fix our oven, I can fix the washer next time.

And I always thought that the dryer was the appliance that ate socks....

Story of my life!!!

You all should know the story of my life started August of 2008 and I thought ended June 2009.

You can also read about it here, here, here, here, here, and here, oh and here, here, here, here and here.

My new washing machine broke, and we have water all over the laundry room floor. At least it still runs, I'm just afraid to try and run another load and have more water to clean up. I guess tomorrow I will be on the phone with Maytag......story of my life.

I want to scream, cry, shout, and go into debt for a new washing machine that would never break......but we all know that isn't possible.

I will just be calm and carry on.....cause you know the kids are watching and I must keep it together so they don't think Mommy has gone bonkers because of a washing machine....that would be silly......*sigh* (but all you Mom's know that its not so silly)..... I think I will take a vicodin tonight....why not!

Proof that Santa came last year!!

A few years ago I gave Tim a weather station for Christmas or his birthday....don't really remember. Any who, we have a weather station which is very handy when there is record rain fall or really cold weather or for wicked wind storms.

Sometime in January I was looking at the weather station display and looking to see what the record lows were and such when I came across what the record wind speed was and about fell out of my chair. As you can see from the picture's the record wind speed at 60.8 mph was at 12:57am on December 25th, 2008. With all the windy storms we have had this past year nothing has come close to it. Looking back I really don't even remember Christmas eve or Christmas day being that windy.

We told the kids at the time and they just thought that was the coolest thing ever! Reagan still believes and when one of her friends said that Santa wasn't real, she looked at me and said Mom Santa is real right? I told her it doesn't matter what other people think, it matters what you think, and she said, "well, I believe in Santa." Reagan is not one to be a follower that is for sure!

This is how I am feeling. I'm very good at it and most of the time I am very genuine about being happy. But right now......."a tear may be ever so near", I'm not sure you would ever see me cry....unless you were in my bible study or if you are my husband. I give it to God because he can carry my burdens when I am not able and I know he will take care of me and my delicate heart.

Smile Lyrics
Artist:Natalie Cole

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Thank you so much!!

Dead horse birthday!

Multimedia message
Originally uploaded by My Presidents

This is the only picture that I took on my birthday and its of a dead horse that Tim found over in eagle crest. The kids really liked looking at the dead horse and had so many great questions about him/her. Lincoln named him Garfield and the rest of us called it "the dead horse". It really gives the saying "kicking a dead horse" a whole new meaning.....not much to kick.

We went out of town for a few days to our friends townhouse at a wonderful vacation resort. This is the kids favorite place to go for mini vacations. We love their home and it feels so comfortable staying there.

Tim and my parents made me a wonderful dinner. Tim got me the black trench coat that I really wanted...yippie!! The kids painted me some pottery and Tim painted me a special plate. My parents got me one of those mini laptops that Costco is selling and well....I just love it!!! Its fast and has just what I need. I had a wonderful birthday and am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

Went to the ER last night w/ Lincoln

He has croup & got home at 3am.. Lincoln is doing better but still a little croupy.

Just got back from his doctor and they gave him a different long lasting one time dose of steriod. He spit out part of it on my shoulder. At least it tastes better than the liquid prednisone that the er doc prescribed. He also doesn't need the inhaler that was also prescribed. He now has a fever and we are watching spongebob truth or square.

Food & Follicles

So, Lincoln's new tactic is that after we give him his plate of food, whether it's for lunch or dinner he will say, "I was just joking." And its not like I'm making food that the he doesn't like.
Today I told him that if he said he was just joking about lunch that he would have to take a "rest time" in his room.....and it worked. So, now that I have found his currency we will see how things go from here. We still praise God when he eats new food and give tons of praise.

I have had 2 ultrasounds and so far they haven't shown any developing follicles bigger than 14mm, all I know is that a follicle needs to be around 20mm to be considered mature. I have lots of follicles, they just need to leave the nest. Next u/s is on Friday. Please pray.

The scary pumpkins were lit.

The kids all ready.

Daddy all nice and warm for the long walk around the neighborhood.

A better picture of
Reagan's pumpkin (left) and Lincoln's pumpkin (right).

What they look like with the flash.

Tim's pumpkin (left) that I carved and quickly rotted.
My tiny pumpkin (right) that was also rotting.
I did have a much larger pumpkin but when I carved it,
well it too had rotted.

Lesson learned,
don't get pumpkins at the beginning of October.
