6 weeks 4 days

Heart rate 137, due December 18, 2010.

I have officially graduated from my
RE's office and am released to the care of my normal ob/gyn. I love my ob and will be so glad to see his PA tomorrow and then in 3 weeks I will see him for another ultrasound. The baby looked great, tiny and great. The doctor said the baby was a little on the small side and my reply was, well I have small kids, so I'm not too surprised.
I'm on cloud nine!!

Oh brother

Lincoln has relieved himself and is feeling better.
I went to the store and bought and steamed a ton of veggies and will sneak them into his diet if it kills me. My friend Jen did this with great success, but I have a much harder nut to crack. Lincoln and Jen's son are in a kids class together at church....maybe I can bribe him to preach the wonders of eating veggies. But I guess he doesn't know he is eating them so how can he help me?
I have steamed and pureed carrots, squash, zucchini, and sweet potatoes. I still need to steam, broccoli, corn and roast yams.
Tonight I tried the sweet potatoes in the grilled cheese sandwich and at least he took a bite, but he quickly told me that "HE DID NOT LIKE THE CHEESE!" He loves
Oroweat Oatnut bread and so I have bought a loaf of that.

I didn't get a nap today. I also need to tell you all that Reagan asked to be baptized and this Sunday she will at church. We are so excited for her!

Lincoln has a serious problem***warning poop talk***

He has not pooped in 7 days. Tonight he kind of went but it was not nearly enough. He has been on Miralax for 3 days now. At church I was talking with one of the other mother's who husband is a pharmacists and he told me that I can give Lincoln a glycerin suppository and that should work. She said she has the same problem with their adorable daughter and that she went 10 days one time!! Holy cow people and that girl is not even constipated....just stubborn!

The odd thing about Lincoln is that he is still eating, playing and running around like nothing is wrong. I have been spending too much time with "Dr. Google" and have now heard some pretty interesting terminology that just makes me laugh. The first word I read was "fecal hoarding" which makes me instantly think of those hoarding shows on TV, but it just means constipation. The second term I have encountered is "Digital stimulation", I didn't get what it meant at first and then a minute later it hit me and I about lost it. Digital as in finger digits not digital as in technology. When I told Tim he said,"shouldn't it be called analog stimulation?" That made me giggle pretty good, Tim is always good at making me laugh.
Tomorrow we call the doctor again and see where we go from here. He is still on
Miralax and hopefully he will go and we won't have to do anything too traumatic, but this kid has to poop!!!

All done

My cousin Jonathan and his girlfriend Susanne moved all the gravel and folded the tarp in just over an hour. I'm so glad that I asked for help. He owns his own landscaping business and I can't get over at how fast they worked. The kids love it and it looks great.

4 1/2 yards or pea gravel delivered by a conveyor truck today. We were hoping it would make it to the play structure but it came up short. It is still better than having to haul it from the driveway. It made a big mess on our retaining wall and on the other side of the fence. The kids and Ditka are enjoying the mountain of gravel the most. Hopefully my cousin will be able to spread it for us, for a small fee of course.

I have a slight and embarrassing problem

This pregnancy has caused me to be very constipated. There I said it and now the whole Internet blogging and wide world know my problem. It is because my progesterone is so high, it also causes me to be very tired, which doesn't help to be active and which would help things along.

First I am eating a tone of fresh fruits and veggies, second I switched from
Benifiber to Metamucil and officially feel like an old person, oh and I bought prunes. Truthfully all its doing is giving me horrible, wretched and foul gas, Lincoln is constantly saying, "Mom you floated an air biscuit." Which causes me to start giggling because my son said, "air biscuit."

Almost 2 more days until the ultrasound, it can't happen soon enough.

Some days I feel so good and think that maybe I'm not pregnant anymore, but I try to stay away from those thoughts. I have to remind myself that I am only 6 weeks along, I didn't get morning sickness with either kid and that I am still very tired and constipated. And I do a lot of praying.

Talk soon my friends :)

First interview***update***

Today I interviewed a potential housekeeper. I do not think I will hire her. She wants me to provide all the cleaning supplies, rags, mops and she wants certain supplies in each bathroom. She was very nice but I just haven't met a housekeeper who does business that way. She also won't do windows or pick up the kids toys. I'm only going to get bigger in my pregnancy and I will need more help. I have a call into another lady and hope to met with her soon.

Maybe I need more than just a housekeeper?

I interviewed a second lady and I hired her on the spot, I have way more confidence in her and feel great about it. She comes for her first cleaning in 2 weeks and it will be the deep cleaning that this house so desperately needs.

Pregnancy update....I'm super tired all the time and had a dream last night that we are only having one baby, but I have also had the twins dream too, so I just think its weird pregnancy dreams. I also have really bad night sweats that I don't remember having this early with my other kids. Did I mention that I'm super tired and the weather has been awesome but I just have no energy. 8 days until the ultrasound, super excited to find out either way!

Local friends, I need a housekeeper, does anyone have any suggestions? Its a gift from my parents and I have decided not to be offended :) I need someone to come during the weekday, possibly every other week, no weekends or evenings. Thanks friends ;)

The kids had built an office during some creative play,
my house doesn't look like this
all the time :)

2nd beta and drama unrelated to being pregnant

My 2nd beta is 125, which is more than doubling so that is wonderful. My progesterone level was high at 67, but again that is really good!!
Ultrasound 2 weeks from today at 3pm.....very excited to hopefully see a tiny little blinking heartbeat. The baby is as big as a poppy seed and my tentative due date is December 12th!!

Now the drama.

Last night Reagan unknowingly had my real Epi Pen. She asked me if it was the practice pen, I glanced at it and said yes....even though it was NOT because they are nearly identical. I was in the middle of making dinner and distracted. Then I hear an ouch and she asked for help resetting it. She didn't cry, she just said she must have done it too hard. I look at the pen and quickly realize she gave herself a shot and we called 911. 911 called poison control and we determined that we would drive her to the hospital. She didn't get very much, the ER was a zoo and we left after 2 hours of waiting. She was seen twice by triage and the second time her stats had all improved. She is fine, I laugh about it now, Tim does not.

Second little piece of drama, Ditka ate Lincoln's Easter chocolate including dark chocolate M&M's and a milk chocolate egg. Called vet and administered the hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting....yuck...****sigh**** worked.

Lets go back to spring break***updated at end***

On Tuesday March 23rd the doctors gave us the go ahead to trigger and make a baby. We had 2 mature follicles and 2 immature but almost mature follicles. We prayed a lot that day and asked a lot of questions and then I heard a clear voice in my head say, "How can we NOT try?" This is the place that we wanted to be in and how could we not trust God now? So, we put it all in God's hands and took a big leap of faith. We could get pregnant with 4 babies......or 3 babies....or 2 babies....or 1 baby.....or not get pregnant at all.

We have complete peace that we are in God's hands and that we are not pregnant with 4 or even 3 babies, I can't tell you how I know this but I just have this overall feeling we aren't. Which now begs the question am I pregnant at all?

The trigger shot has the pregnancy hormone in it called
HCG. Last Tuesday March 30th I took a pregnancy test and had a faint line. Next day did the same thing and it was negative, and the same for Thursday and Friday. So, I now know that the trigger and the hormones are out of my system.

Sunday morning I got up early before anybody else and I tested. I got a faint line on two different tests....Praise the Lord!!...(yes, I tested twice with two different brands).

I have contemplated whether or not we should share the results but decided to share for a couple of reasons. The first being that we could use your prayers and the more people praying the better. Second, this baby deserves to be celebrated! God is the author of life and only he knows, so we celebrate.

I had a blood test today and another one on Wednesday. I took another test this morning and the line only got darker....which is a very good sign. I will update when I know the results of the blood test.

We won't know if we are having twins until an ultrasound is done and that won't happen for a couple of weeks.

I won't be sharing the news on
facebook for a while so please don't post anything on my wall.

Thank you for your prayers!!

HCG 53.....PREGNANT!!!! Next test Wednesday, now the number has to at least double!!!!
