Happy Halloween!!

Lincoln really wanted to be Nacho Libre for Halloween this year.
So, I put together his costume and made him a cape.
However, he changed his mind.
But I was able to get a picture of him as Nacho!!

Where am I?

Oh, there I am!

Reagan is a cowgirl, I made that vest by the way and its lined!
Lincoln is Mario, and he did where shoes when they went trick or treating.

The whole gang!
The kids have been trick or treating with Chloe since 2005.
Lots of fun times and the Dads go out and the Moms stay home.
Pretty sweet deal if you ask me ;)

October so far

As you know Lincoln asked Jesus into his heart.
At our church you can nail a white ribbon onto a cross to show everyone that you have made a choice to follow God. Some people do this during worship and some people choose to do this after service. Lincoln isn't into crowds so we went after church and he nailed his ribbon onto the cross. Cousin Haley was there and also nailed a ribbon onto the cross. Reagan already nailed her ribbon when she asked Jesus into her heart a few years ago. We are so proud of Lincoln and are amazed at what God is already doing in his life.

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."
Proverbs 22:6

Lincoln's pre-k field trip to the pumpkin patch.
Lincoln with his buddies.

Reagan on her field trip to the pumpkin patch with the
1st grade class.

We went to our favorite farm.
Willamette Valley Fruit Company.
This year they had a 13 acre maze with 3 different levels of difficulty.
We had the best tacos, and of course bought a Marion Berry Dream Pie.
We are in love with their pies and that is where we pick all our berries in the summer.

Zip line swing on old irrigation pipe.

Fun day at the pumpkin patch, they even had free face painting!

I took a photography class given by the fabulous
Hibler from Valerie Hibler Photography.
It was geared towards Moms and helping us take better snapshots with your
expensive cameras. Below is a picture I took of all the other moms practicing what we learned.

She will be taking picture's of our precious newborn and our Christmas card photo.
In 7 short weeks we will meet our sweet baby!!!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Wait a minute, my birthday isn't until next month. But that is okay because who would turn down an early birthday present right? Certainly not me!

Tim surprised me and knew how badly I have wanted to replace the carpet in our house.

We have lived here for 6 years and when we built our home we put in really cheap carpet.
And now it shows.
I will spare you the stains, the parts where its coming apart from the nail strips and did I mention the stains.
Now you all could say Christy why don't you just clean it?
We did and the stains only got bigger.
I was never fully able to get out the red kool aide stain that one of my children who will go unnamed to protect there identity accidentally made.

So, this coming Monday at approximately 9:15am, I will be getting this carpet.
The brand is Karastan and its the tender touch model and the color is called polished brass.

This week I am boxing up books, moving toys and trying to figure out how all our large furniture is going to fit in our kitchen & dinning room.
One of Tim's friends is coming over to help with the big stuff on Sunday and Tim is taking Monday off, so that he can move the furniture back.

Oh, I can't wait!! It will be so nice to have new carpet for when the baby comes!!

And just so you all don't forget, my real birthday is November 10th!
I won't tell you the year because a lady doesn't talk about such things ;)

One of my favorite things

This is just one of my favorite things to wear right now.
You can find it here, at Old Navy.

Its not a maternity skirt, but oh how I love it!
I have it in a size small, but had to upgrade
to a size medium to accommodate
my growing condition.

I would wear it everyday if I could!!

Max's quilt is finished!!

Max's quilt is all finished!
It is the largest one I have done.
I had a hard time getting a picture of the whole thing so this will just have to do.

I found the red skull fabric when I was buying the brown minky fabric for the backing.
This is for his birthday next month, but we are sending it early with some legos.

Happy early 3rd Birthday Max!!!

Max's Dad just posted this picture on Facebook and I thought I would include it.
It just warms my heart that he loves it! I can't tell you how many prayers I prayed while sewing his quilt. We just love that boy!!

This post is linked up to Vanessa's blog Southern In My Heart where she is hosting an Inspiration Friday party. Have you blogged about something this week that has inspired you? If so head on over there and link up!

Ahoy Max!

This is Max and he is going to be 3 at the end of November. I have been working on a quilt for him for too long and will finally be finished this weekend. Max is Tim's Godson. Isn't he a cutie?!

This is a sneak peak at Max's quilt. I call it Ahoy Max, because on the pirate squares it says Ahoy Matey. I just finished the quilt top and now have to assemble the layers and sew this bad boy up. I think I'm going to use a nice soft minky fabric for the backing. I hope he likes it!!

Take a Guess?

Many will play but only one will win.

My brother and his wife had this fun little guessing game when they were pregnant with their son Liam. I thought it would be fun to do the same.
I am inviting you all to join the fun and take a guess.

You all should all get points for getting the date right.
That is if I don't go into labor early.

Can't wait to see what you all predict!!!

I will tell you that Reagan weighed in at 7lb and Lincoln weighed in at 7 lb 7oz.
