I am having some cravings today.

They include

  • elephant ears

  • corn dogs

  • mint chocolate chip ice cream

  • garden salad with ranch

  • cucumbers

  • pizza hut bread sticks with the red sauce

  • root beer float

  • strawberry Italian soda

  • noodles with butter

I actually won't eat any of it but for some reason it all sounds so yummy!!!

I'm not sure what is going on with the underlining and such.

37 weeks prego picture

37 weeks prego picture.
I went to the doctor today and I am measuring at 36 weeks even though I am 37 weeks. That either means that the baby has dropped or not a big deal. Last week the doctor estimated the baby's weight at 6 lb 8 oz.

Buddy and the tree

Buddy came back this year on the day after Thanksgiving.
The kids are thrilled and we are glad
that we have another tool to help them be good ;)
If you don't know who buddy is, visit this link.

We also got our tree this year,
the earliest we have ever put up the tree.
The kids loved helping Daddy.

Every other year the kids take turns putting on the Angel.
This year it was Lincoln's year.

After 10 years of using the same
Christmas lights for the tree, they finally died.
So, Reagan & Tim went off to a large improvement store
and bought some pretty Martha S. lights
that are bright but also energy whatever its called..

We put up the ornaments and now Lincoln has declared he is ready for presents.
That poor boy has a long wait ahead of him.

it snowed

School was canceled and the kids played.

The kids went out 3 different times to play in the snow. It was really cold and never got above freezing. Last night it got down to 20 degrees I think, super cold for where we live.

The kids found this snow globe in the back yard and ask me to take a picture of it. Don't worry, it completely thawed out and it is back to a normal snow globe once again.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

Christmas crib bumpers

I found this lovely Moda Christmas fabric for the crib bumpers.

What I ended up doing is measuring the sides of the crib and essential just made 4 flat pillows. I also did buy crib bumper padding that gives you the exact about of padding you will need. I had to trim my padding down 2 inches, it was a little tall for my taste. I made my cuts and sewed the ties to the bottom of the bumpers and then sewed up the sides.

I then inserted the bumper padding and then made a stitch across the top to secure it in place. The picture's below are how I finished the bumpers and is essentially the most important part.

I pinned the top of the bumper and then sewed it closed.
Not worrying how it looked.

I then measured how much biased tape I would need and sewed the ends over and then pinned it onto the top of the bumper and sewed it on with red thread.

To sew on the ties I cut the biased tape into 16 inch sections and sewed the ends over so it looked nice. I then just laid it flat and sewed it on at the ends and in the middle of the long section of bumpers. I had a total of 20 ties, four for each end section and six for the two long sections. Does that make sense?

This is a totally easy project, just time consuming when you are pregnant and have kids to tend to and a house to run.

24 or 23 days depending on when you read this post until BABY!!!

This post is linked up to Vanessa's blog Southern In My Heart where she is hosting an Inspiration Friday party. Have you blogged about something this week that has inspired you? If so head on over there and link up!

My list

I have a list of things that I need to do before the baby comes.

  • Finish Christmas shopping
  • Buy two stocking holders (one for the baby and one for Ditka....don't ask)
  • Buy two Christmas picture frames that are portrait size 4x6
  • Tim needs to put up Christmas lights on house
  • Buy and put up Christmas tree and all the decorations
We only have 25 days to get this all done, totally doable....right?

Sneak peak ***update with more pictures***

This is just one of the Christmas crib bumpers. I have three more to make, two long ones and one more like the one in the picture.

I bought a pattern for it but it was useless! I should have just looked at the bumpers I currently own and saved myself the money. I can use them this year and for next Christmas too!! In 28 short days I will be holding our sweet baby!!

I finished the one long sections and put them in the crib and snapped some picture's. I just love how it looks. I think I just need a red crib sheet instead of white. Now I just have to finish the other two sections. I'm so close to being finished!!!

The fabric is a Moda fabric, if you were curious.

I have changed my blog design to reflect how I am feeling. I am getting ready for this baby and getting the house ready for Christmas as well. Tim won't let me get a tree yet. But come Thanksgiving weekend, you bet your bottom dollar we will have a tree and the lights on the house.

I know lists are lame but sometimes I just need to jot things down.
  • My birthday is tomorrow :)
  • Tim has to work late all this week
  • The kids have Thursday & Friday off
  • I am not feeling well ;(
  • I am half way done making the Christmas crib bumpers (pictures soon)
  • Not sure I like how dark it is in the early evening.
  • Not sleeping well
  • My feet are driving me crazy
  • Today was pajama day for Lincoln
  • I'm super tired
  • Making breakfast for dinner tonight because its just easy
Did I mention that I'm really tired? I think so.

This will be short and brief.

I am tired of these comments:

"Any day now?"

"Is this the biggest you have
ever been?"

"I bet you will go early, cause you are
so big."

The comments I LOVE:

"You are so cute!"

"Can't wait to meet your baby."

"Don't bend down, I will get that for you."

"Can I carry that for you?"

The funny thing Tim said the other night.

"You can't get out of bed that way, you need to roll the other way."

To his relief I started laughing and couldn't stop. He thought I was going to be mad. Good thing for him, this pregnancy has made me very giggly. Everything is funny. Even when people ask me the above questions that I don't like. I just start laughing.
