Reagan turns 11

Reagan had a few friends over to celebrate her birthday.  Our first stop was Sugar Sugar. A cute candy shop downtown.

I love summer birthdays :)

Reagan wanted to order pizza and have a pizza delivery boy come to our house. It was darling and all the girls loved it. I'm not ready for boy crazy girls yet, good thing she's not boy crazy!

Ditka and I stayed outside while the girls did....I don't actually know what the girls were doing, playing in Reagan's room I think.
He quickly grew tired of the girls.

Nana brought Lincoln & McKinley back for cake. They had been playing at her house so Reagan could have some time with just her friends.

The girls stayed over and watched "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" they laughed so hard and loved the movie.

The next morning we played apples to apples, these girls are so sweet, I love them all so much!!

I accidentally damaged Barbie from the candles. Whoops!

Isn't she beautiful?!!

Still can't believe she is 11 years old!

Camping 2014

Below is 6 years of camping pictures with our CORE family from church.

Here is year 7 camping with our CORE family.  We have so much fun and the kids look forward to it all year!

This picture below is the stop we had to make for one of our children who couldn't hold it any longer.  Such pretty countryside.

McKinley loved camping, but it was difficult camping with her.

Waking up on our first morning camping of camping. We love when the kids crawl in bed with us ❤️.

I don't think Tim can ever take a normal picture and I love him.

Reagan is riding my bike that I got when I was 15 years old and I'm riding Tim's bike.  Reagan rode my bike the entire time and I'm not even joking.

Mr. Bunny visited us outside our tent, it was so fun to watch him nibble on his lunch.

Mrs. Bunny visited us at the playground after dinner, seeing a wild bunny never gets old.

Saturday morning snuggles with our Presidents.

We biked to the South Falls at silver creek falls.  We had to lock up our bikes and walk in because bikes aren't allowed on the trail.

A little fun....

I love this boy!!

Biking back to the campground, it was a bumpy ride!

Lincoln caught a crawdad and some of the kids even ate him after we was all nice and cooked.

Unfortunately our air mattress lost it's seams and would not accommodate another night.

We packed up and stayed for the potluck dinner and left just before 9pm.

Almost home.

As soon as we got home I gave the kids showers and put them to bed and Tim unpacked the van.  As soon as the kids were tucked in they fell fast asleep.  Today we have been doing about 15 loads of laundry and the joys of putting away camping gear & food.

This week Tim leaves on a business trip, Reagan turns 11 and we celebrate Great Grammie turning 99!

Lily Dollhouse update #13

Still working on the 3rd floor trim.

I broke 4 of the 5 roof board, it wasn't difficult.  That set me back because I had to glue them.  After I glued them I  soaked them briefly in water and then put them in our drying cabinet above our dryer for a few hours. It worked pretty good but as you can see below I still had to clamp the heck out of it to get the correct angles.

I was so concerned with the roof pieces that last night I had a nightmare that all the roof pieces turned in to ice cream cone type all just fell apart in my hands.  I was so happy to wake up!!

I have other exciting news.......we are entering the dollhouse into the State Fair!!!!!

It must be done & delivered August 12th.

Lily Dollhouse update #12

Porch railing trim was glued in and it looks really nice.

I wallpapered the the attic and glued in the trim on the door.

I glued the roof supports and glued the roof on.  Then I read the instructions and it says don't glue the roof on.  That should have been my first indication how things would go so wrong with this roof :(

I assembled & glued the 2 floor stair railings & glued it into the dollhouse.

The roof is a mansard roof that curves.  The instructions say to get the wood wet and as it dries it will naturally curve......

Two of them broke.  I glued them and let them dry.

The kids are having a garage sale, so I haven't been working on it today.

Not sure how much I'll get done in the next few weeks as we have a full schedule.  It will be nice to take a break and let my dollhouse brain rest :)

Lily Dollhouse update #11

We bought these kitchen accessories at Hobby Lobby, they match perfectly.

I fixed the kitchen door. I had to take off even more of the door to get it to open & close easily.

Yeah, it works!

Also added the last bit of porch railing. Just need to add the contrasting trim pieces and the hand railing.

But most of the day was spent here, at the water park with our besties.  We are crazy about this family.

McKinley talks non stop about Seth, it's extremely adorable and he is so patient with her.  McKinley also adores Maddy, and they just love on her and she loves it.

Tomorrow I'm starting on the roof!!!  Gasp.....I'm so nervous.
